Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Slidee website (slidee.ai) and application (app.slidee.ai) operated by Slidee Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users aged 13–17 may use Slidee only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or contain inaccurate information.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Parts of the Service are available on a subscription basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase.

  • Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Price changes: We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until the next renewal.
  • Payment processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with the Service, contact us at legal@slidee.ai within 30 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Refunds for renewals are not guaranteed but may be granted at our discretion.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at legal@slidee.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or input into Slidee, including text, images, documents, and files (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload and that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate presentation content, including text, layouts, and image selections.

  • Ownership: You own the AI-generated output created through your use of the Service, subject to any underlying third-party rights (e.g., stock image licenses).
  • Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.
  • Similarity: Other users may receive similar or identical outputs when providing similar prompts. We do not guarantee uniqueness of generated content.
  • No training on your data: We do not use Your Content or your AI-generated outputs to train our AI models.

8. Third-Party AI Providers

Our AI features are powered by third-party providers, including OpenAI. When you use AI features, your prompts and input text are sent to these providers for processing. These providers process data in accordance with their own terms of service and privacy policies. We select providers that commit to not using customer inputs for model training.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property or other rights of third parties
  • Generate, upload, or distribute illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or hateful content
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created in contexts where disclosure is required
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or access the Service beyond normal usage
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without authorization
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service
  • Upload sensitive personal data (SSNs, medical records, payment card numbers) into presentations

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, templates, layouts, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Slidee Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

11. Third-Party Services and Content

The Service may include integrations with or links to third-party services (e.g., stock image providers, cloud storage). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their own terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Service ceases immediately
  • You will have 14 days to export your data before it is deleted
  • Outstanding fees remain payable

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slidee Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slidee Ltd and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Slidee Ltd regarding the Service.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
